KWASU Student Shortlisted For KWSG's "Best Student of Kwara State Origin" In Nigeria Award (See Full Details)

Salamat Abisola AbdulRahman has been shortlisted for the Kwara State Government's "Best Student of Kwara State Origin in Nigeria" award.

Salamat, a student of Kwara State University's Agricultural Economics was shortlisted for the award from entries made to a call by the leadership of National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) and National Association of Kwara State Students (NAKSS) for two categories of award.

In a press release made available to pressmen, the selected students emerged after they were assessed based on Academic Performance (CGPA), Communication Skills, Character and Approach, Mastery of Happenings and Development in Kwara State among other criteria.

The award ceremony is scheduled to hold on the 23rd of December 2022 at the Banquet Hall, opposite the Government House, Ilorin.

Meanwhile, the Acting Vice Chancellor of Kwara State University, Professor Shaykh Luqman Jimoh has congratulated Salamat Abisola Abdulrahman for emerging among the top contestants for the award.

He described her shortlisting as evidence of the standard of graduates the University is producing, urging other students to join the many who are bringing glory to their institution.

He lauded the Kwara State Governor, Mallam AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, for initiating the award which he said would encourage students of Kwara State origin to give their best everywhere they may be as they would be recognized and celebrated by the government and society generally.

He noted that the youth need all the encouragement they can have to keep on the path of morality, saying this award by the State Government is an excellent morale booster for Kwara youths.
