DC Announces Premiere Date For Titans

LadiesLodgeEnt.The wait might be a tad bit longer than ideal, but on the bright side, you’ll be able to hear Dick Grayson (Brenton Thwaites) say “F**k Batman” before too long.

Earlier this evening, over on YouTube, the inaugural DC Universe live-stream commenced, and it didn’t take long for the comic book juggernaut to get down to business. While the Kevin Smith-hosted event was expected to confirm a street date for the video-on-demand
service which it did WB caught almost everyone off guard by announcing the release date of Titans, and it’s a lot sooner than you might think.

Although DC Universe will officially launch on September 15th, Titans, based on the Bob Haney and Bruno Premiami-created IP, won’t debut until Friday, October 12th. Granted, the interval isn’t all that bad, though the week delay between each and every new episode will be trying.

Yes, unfortunately, the entirety of Titans will not be available to stream on October 12th; instead, the twelve-episode first season will be unveiled on a weekly basis. That said, we’ll get an early indication of what to expect from the show slightly beforehand, as the world premiere screening is scheduled to take place at New York Comic-Con on October 3rd.

Ultimately, if DC Universe is right up your alley, you can pre-order a full-year subscription for a fee of $74.99. That said, it should be noted that at the moment, it’s unclear what, exactly, will be available on the day of release, but assumedly a noticeable portion of the content will be held back.
As stated above, look for Teagan Croft (Raven), Anna Diop (Starfire), Ryan Potter (Beast Boy), Alan Ritchson (Hawk) and Minka Kelly (Dove) to appear alongside Brenton Thwaites (Robin) in Titans which will be solely available on DC Universe beginning October 12th.
