Breaking: Jacob Zuma’s Statue In Owerri Pulled Down By Unknown Persons

Recall that the Imo state Governor, Rochas Okorocha, on Saturday, October 14, 2017, unveiled a statue that was made in honour of the South African President, Jacob Zuma, in Owerri, Imo state.

According to reports, the statue cost the Imo state government N520m to erect.

Zuma had earlier been conferred with a title of Ochiagha Imo (The head of Imo warriors), by Eze Imo, His Royal Highness Samuel Ohiri.

The Imo state government also named a road after the South-African President – Jacob Zuma road.

Recent news update reaching us is that the statue of Jacob Zuma in Owerri has been pulled down by some unknown persons.

Information gathered reports that the incident occurred last night or early this morning. It will be recalled that the Imo State indigenes were not happy with the statue.


Most of the blames go to Rocha’s Okorocha who they accused of using tax payers money on useless venture.


Some school of thought believe that Jacob Zuma is one of the most corrupt leaders in the world.

Nigeria’s players are in dispute with the country’s football federation in the build-up to their Africa Cup of Nations match against Guinea. None of the Super Eagles players has received allowances or a $10,000 bonus.
