Lionel Messi scored his 100th European goal as Barcelona defeated Greek side Olympiacos 3 - 1 at the Camp Nou despite a red card to defender Gerard Pique.
Barcelona were the early aggressors and could have taken the lead in the 10th minute but Luis Suarez could not direct his effort from inside the box into the goal.
Dimitrios Nikolaou scored an own goal in the 11th minute when he diverted a cross into his goal.
Gerard Pique was shown a second yellow card three minutes before the half time when he adjudged to have used his hand to score a goal from Deulofeu's cross.
That did not deter Barcelona who went 2 - 0 up in the 61st minute through Lionel Messi who scored his 100th European goal with a freekick.
Three minutes later Lucas Digne made it 3 - 0 but Dimitrios Nikolaou pulled one back to make it 3 - 1.
In the other group D game Juventus came from one goal down to secure a home 2 - 1 win over Sporting Lisbon.
Akex Sandro's own goal was cancelled out by Miralem Pjanic and Mario Mandzukic scored the winner with six minutes of the match left.
Barcelona top the group with nine points while Juventus follow with six points after three games played.
