Arsenal manager, Arsene Wenger, has opened the way for Liverpool to bid for Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain, by telling the player he is no longer wanted at the Emirates Stadium.
Oxlade-Chamberlain has informed the Gunners that he does not want to move to Chelsea despite the clubs agreeing a £35million deal on Monday.
The England winger wants a switch to Anfield, where he believes Jürgen Klopp, will field him in his preferred central midfield position.
According to The Times, Wenger has now told the 24-year-old to ensure he wraps up a move by transfer deadline on Thursday or there is no place for him in his squad.
Arsenal will reluctantly do business with Liverpool, after telling them off earlier in the summer.
