NATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF BIOCHEMISTRY STUDENTS (NABS) DEPARTMENTAL WEEK CELEBRATION - KWASU CHAPTER.


As a usual event in every second semester in Kwara State University, it is tradition that every department holds her departmental week, National Association of Biochemistry Students is kick starting it this year and they are ready to turn the whole school on with series of scintillating events they have in stock for their students. Let's take you through the details of the event which is scheduled to take place from 13th to 18th of March, 2017:


MONDAY 13TH MARCH, 2017
#AWARENESS AND MEDICAL
Note: This is to notify the general student that Biochemistry is Celebrating her Great Association and the Medicals would involve
1. BMI {body weight and height}
2. Blood Pressure Test- Free for all Biochemistry Students / #200 for non-biochemistry students.

SCHEDULE:    A. MEDICALS - 10 a.m-3 p.m [BCH LAB]
                  B. AWARENESS – 4 p.m [Converge at Malete roundabout, Opposite D2 Cafe]

DRESS CODE: RAGGY (BAD COMBINATION OF CLOTHES)

TUESDAY 14TH MARCH, 2017

#BACK TO SCHOOL/LECTURE

Note: Bringing back our/the memory of secondary/primary school. Just to celebrate our days in school, the way we dress, assemblies, our water bottle, food flask e.t.c Remembering the past at times is very important and fun.
Most student believe that Biochemistry is a useless course and its Baseless in Nigeria, there will be a LECTURE that will tell you 1001 Jobs and things you can do with your B.Sc. in Biochemistry even right here in Nigeria and Abroad. DON’T MISS OUT come and Learn more about your Future as a Potential Biochemist.

                        B. LECTURE - 12 Noon (MCB LAB)

WEDNESDAY 15TH MARCH, 2017

#CULTURAL DAY (IBILE DAY/ TIWA N TIWA N)

Note: Its’s all about promoting our CULTURE even as a POTENTIAL BIOCHEMIST. NIGERIA/AFRICA IS OUR LAND. The British came and stole our HERITAGE, OUR CULTURE AWAY and they induce their way into our way. Even to that CELEBRATING OUR CULTURE IS highly important at least once in a blue moon. On that key: there will be CORONATION FOR NABS QUEEN (IN BEAUTY CONTEST) and Do like a lady for the Guys. It’s going to be fun filled. Don’t Miss out.

THURSDAY 16TH MARCH, 2017

#EXCURSION (ERIN IJESHA WATER FALL)

Note: Purpose: To have a general fun ground for all the BCH Student across all LEVEL. TRUTH you might have been there before maybe at your Secondary School Days/ or even just of recent. But the fun you had then cannot be compare with the fun embedded for this particular excursion.

TAKE OFF TIME: 7 a.m

DRESS CODE: NABS CLOTH (COME ALONG WITH YOUR SWIMMING TRUNK)


FRIDAY 17TH MARCH, 2017

#SPORTS APPRECIATION

Note: Different games for the day, ranging from Ludo, Card game, Play Station, Chess, Athlete(Female), Football e.t.c. There will be an inter LEVEL RACE FOR THE LADIES (4 FROM EACH LEVEL).

TIME: 9 a.m (ROYALE GARDEN, BCH LAB, AND SCHOOL FIELD)

DRESS CODE: ANY SPORT WEAR


SATURDAY 18TH MARCH, 2017

#DINNER/AWARD NIGHT

Note: You guys know it all. A kind of get together for all BCH Student and Award presentation for those that are qualify for the award. It is a free entrance for all BCH student but for non BCH/BCH STUDENT THAT DID NOT PAY FOR NABS DUE.
