Just like Globacom, MTN will also end all its
Blackberry Internet Services plan at the end of January 2017.
It would be recalled that Globacam, the self
acclaimed Grandmasters of Data earlier discontinued its Blackberry internet services (B.I.S) on December 17th, 2016. However, it is very well on record that it was Etisalat that initiated the discontinuity race. Now MTN has followed suit and have announced to all its BIS and BBC subscribers that the plan will be
discontinued by the end of the month of January.
According to the message sent by the Telecommunication company to its Blackberry subscribers, discontinued by the end of the month of January.
“Dear customer, MTN Blackberry service will be decommissioned on 27/01/2017. Please upgrade to a smartphone and enjoy 100% bonus on any data bundle purchased”.
This development can be blamed on the increase in the demand and acceptance of the Android platform over the BlackBerry. Plus the proposed June 2017 WhatsApp expiry date on the BlackBerry OS. It seems the the BlackBerry is being pulled closer to its grave every single day. To all Blackberry users out there who still own a Blackberry device, now is the best time for you to get rid of the device.
#JUST A WORD OF ADVICE.
