MOBILE APPLICATIONS NIGERIANS USED MOST IN 2016.

Here is a list of top ten most used applications found on about 99% of mobile- android device of every Nigerian:

1. WHATSAPP
The Instant messaging app would continue to be Nigerians favorite as it offers unrelenting services  such as it’s text and call devices. This is the app used most by Nigeria in 2016.


2. XENDER
The file sharing app that makes use of Wi-Fi-direct to share files, photo and videos is another app that has really being handy on most android-mobile devices.


3. SNAPCHAT
A blast from the cast, Snapchat came just like out of nowhere, though comparisons came in along with Instagarm for sometime but it still seems to be the social network preferred by Nigerians in the year 2016.


4. OPERA
Opera and Opera Mini is still the most used app for browsing amidst Nigerians, this makes it one of the most used app by Nigerians

5. INSTAGRAM
Snapchat is not blowing the competition away especially when Instagram now offers Snapchat like features, Instagram is also one of the most popular social network used by many Nigerians.

6. TWITTER
A long existing app that has being serving the bet of social media source of info and news for most Nigerians was also a greatly used app in the year  2016.

7. TRUE CALLER
An app that obtains the name and location of a caller i.r can identify an unknown mobile number, this is also one of the apps that could be found on many Nigerians phones in 2016.

8. UBER
The transportation company uber which with it’s app you can order a cab from your current location to your exact destination was also an instant hit in 2016. This app has definitely made transportation less stressful and easy.

9. SHAZAM
Shazam, a song recognition app using audio fingerprinting technology is also one app that became widely used by Nigerians in 2016.

Super Eagles Players Owed Bonuses & Allowances (Read Full Gist)

Nigeria’s players are in dispute with the country’s football federation in the build-up to their Africa Cup of Nations match against Guinea. None of the Super Eagles players has received allowances or a $10,000 bonus. The Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) is hoping to prevent a strike before the match in Egypt on Wednesday. “My player [Ahmed Musa] couldn’t attend the press conference today because they have a very important meeting,” said coach Gernot Rohr. “I just hope the situation can be resolved so we can focus on what we have in front of us.” The squad was an hour late for training on Tuesday and have not ruled out taking further action. The financially stricken NFF, which receives its funding from the government, has denied it was responsible for the delay in paying the players’ bonuses.
