Following earlier reports that came in, the speaker of the Ogun State House of Assembly, Honourable Surajudeen Adekunbi was reported to have mercilessly beaten up his wife in a court at Abeokuta, yesterday. Adekunbi’s wife who is an officer of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), reportedly went to the court asking for divorce from him, citing irreconcilable differences.

When the court ruled in his wife’s favor, he became furious as he viciously pounced on his wife, beating her to a coma in presence of the whole people in court and taking away their daughter. The speaker was said to have also ordered his security men to beat up an NSCDC officer who had attempted to take pictures of the incident on his mobile phone, .

Kola Abiola, the eldest son of Late Chief MKO Abiola, has finally spoken on his alleged marriage to Aisha Babangida, the eldest daughter of Nigeria’s former Military President Gen.
