In reaction to a story by an online news medium that detectives of the Nigeria Police in Ilorin, his hometown, questioned and
then released several domestic aides as well as some of his security details in connection with the mysterious disappearance of N300 million from his bedroom.
The President of the Senate, Dr.
Abubakar Bukola Saraki, on today; said only N12 million cash was stolen from his administrative office. He said it is not true that N300 million was stolen from his bedroom in
his hime at Ilorin, Kwara State.
Reacting on his Twitter handle around 11am on today when one of his followers asked about the story, Saraki said it was full of exaggeration as he explained that his administrative office was broken into about two weeks ago and N12 million that is used to run charity was stolen.
Saraki wrote on his Twitter handle:
“Story is full of Falsehood &
exaggeration.
“The online tabloid lacks credibility and will go to any length.
“Administrative office was broken into about 2 weeks ago.
“12 million used to run charity house was stolen.”
The report had claimed that the N300 million was in different foreign currencies and was provided to Saraki by the Kwara State Governor, Alhaji Abdulfatah Ahmed.
It said this was to enable Saraki
provide largesse to his supporters in Ilorin at the start of the Ramadan season.
Mixed reactions and criticisms by Nigerians have trailed a young slay queen following her controversial post where she advised ladies to use their private for fame and wealth.
