CHELSEA AGREES £33 MILLION FEE FOR MICHY BATSHUAYI.

Finally after a long chase, the  English club Chelsea have agreed a £33million transfer fee with Marseille for the striker Michy Batshuayi. According to report, Batshuayi’s representatives have already outlined a five-year contract with Chelsea and his move will be cleared once he has undertaken the required medical tests and gone over finer details. It was gathered that Batshuayi is undergoing his medical in a clinic in Bordeaux with Chelsea staff at the moment. As soon as the club completes his signing, Marseille will pay Batshuayi’s former team Standard Liege £11.5m as part of their 35% sell-on agreement.

Marseille had to raise £21m by July 5 to pay of French football finance regulator DNCG for Batshuayi’s service. The 22-year-old scored 21 goals last season and was on the score sheet in his country’s 4-0 win over Hungary on Sunday, when he came off the bench to replace Romelu Lukaku.

Kola Abiola, the eldest son of Late Chief MKO Abiola, has finally spoken on his alleged marriage to Aisha Babangida, the eldest daughter of Nigeria’s former Military President Gen. Ibrahim Badamosi Babangida (IBB). IBB and MKO Abiola were friends until the latter contested and won the June 12, 1993, presidential election, but the former would later cancel the election. Their relationship went sour, but before the annulment, Kola and Aisha were allegedly dating. At a time, it was speculated that they secretly got married. Rumour-mongers said the marriage failed after IBB annulled the election of MKO Abiola, which the late business mogul convincingly won under the Social Democratic Party (SDP). In an interview, Kola said they never got married. According to him, they’ve been friends before politics. “We never got married.
