Coronavirus, A Blessing In Disguise

Sometimes, blessings come in disguise. Contrary to popular belief, Coronavirus has benefited the world in some ways. May the Lord bring it to a stop soon and heal the infected in jiffy.

1. Coronavirus has exposed our weakness and revealed our helplessness. We're all subject to Allāh's will and design. We're vulnerable; we live by His mercy.

2. It has humbled us and depicted our interdependence.

3. Mankind is one nation; we must be our brothers' keepers. Whatever afflicts one can affect all. Mutual protection and love is key to our survival and prosperity.

4. Africa is not always the origin of bad diseases; this horrible disease has emanated from the East and Europeans are the worst hit and its carriers to Africa. Color of skin does not make anyone superior to another. Superiority lies in responsibility and fear of God.

5. The most technologically advanced nation is the worst hit and the most confused. All powers belong to Allah. We live by His grace.

6. Sins and crimes have drastically reduced. People are getting closer to God and living peacefully.

7. Families are getting closer to each other and bonding.

8. A microbe is ravaging the world unchecked. A tiny virus has plunged the world into fear and panic! This is just an army from the armies of Allah. No amount of chemical, mechanical or biological weapon can be deployed to fight it. May Allah save us from His wrath.

9. A virus, a biological ghost, has enabled some people to enjoy long vacation and leave, which they would have been ordinarily denied.

10. The compulsory rest and life devoid of debauchery will improve the health of many people.

11. Many will learn that money they refused to use to support others will now go in waste to business closure.

12. Being home-bound will enable us set a goal for life and see the world from a different angle.

13. Humans are a great investment opportunity.

14. There is more to this world than the eyes can behold.

15. Prophet Muhammad was a true Messenger of God; his principles on quarantine are being applied all over the world. Those who slowed down to act by the Sunnah are reaping the bitter fruits.

16. Research is prompted. Necessity is the mother of invention.

17. There is hope of a better life when the world overcomes the scourge. There is no gain without pain.

18. Islamic principles of hygiene are being promoted as the only preventive measures to the disease. Islam must be divine. It's more to offer the world.

19. Death is scary but inevitable. Death by plaque is martyrdom for believers. Do you think of what comes after death?

20. Mankind has been redirected; its desperate rush in the rat race on materialism and competition is precarious.

21. Countries have discovered they need to do more in food production and self-sufficiency.

22. Expertise and intelligence without morality and spirituality is just a time bomb.

23. Miracle workers are liars and impostors; none has offered to go to the hotspot for revival. They rather follow the government directives to close down without question. Prayer without work is a lazy man's religion.

24. We will emerge stronger and better in health, knowledge and lifestyle, God willing.

25. Wicked mis-informers abound in the world; beware of unverified news and information.
