BARACK OBAMA'S TWEET ON CONDEMNING HATE KILLING, BECOMES THIRD MOST-LIKED IN HISTORY. WITH 2.4 MILLION LIKES

A tweet by ex-President Barack Obama condemning the Saturday racial killing in Charlottesville, American State of Virginia, has received 2.4 million likes and still counting.

While his successor, President Donald Trump, was silent on Twitter, refusing to address the violent clash between hate groups and protesters for hours, the much-beloved ex-president Obama had shared three powerful messages, one of which was in the form of a Nelson Mandela quote about hate and the human potential to love.

He wrote: “No one is born hating another person because of the color of his skin or his background or his religion…” This tweet alone gathered 39,000 responses, 1.0 million retweets, and 2.4 million likes, making it the third most-liked tweet in history, according to Esquire magazine.

He then did two quick follow-ups, with one of them quoting late ex-South African President Nelson Mandela, who had said, “…For love comes more naturally to the human heart than its opposite.”
