A business tycoon and Yoruba leader by the name Alhaji Ganiyu Akanbi whom is said to be Kano- based recently killed by Abubakar Abdulrahman popularly know as Daddy has been sentenced to death by hanging in a Kani High Court., as he was found guilty on a count blamable of homicide after he allegedly entered the home of his culprit and stabbed him in the heart with a kitchen knife.
While he pleas, the accused is said to have plead to the court to temper justice with mercy for the sake of his aged mother, wife and children. But at the courts final opinion, the judge stated that the accused is deserving of no mercy after committing such capital offence by murdering the sole head and breadwinner of a family. The accused is said to have 30 days random in which to appeal the courts decision as confirmed by Sahara Reporters.
